Donna May Boyes

Canadian artist Donna May Boyes experimented with painting throughout her life. Now, an empty nester with her husband and grandmother of 1, she has found a new passion for painting.

Inspired by the instruction of Ali Kay, Donna's work utilizes modern impression and optical blending.

Small strokes of bold colour are carefully placed side by side rather than blending them.

This technique encourages the viewer's perception to mix the colours, playing with the nature of human vision.
